Tile & Grid ceilings
Tile & grid ceilings were originally developed to conceal the underside of the roof structure / underside of the floor slab above & to offer acoustic balance & control.
Since then tile & grid ceilings have been developed to offer solutions for every purpose. Tile & grid ceilings can now offer - protection from fire, greater acoustic properties, are suitable for use in high moisture content areas & are used extensively in hygiene sensitive areas & cleanroom environments.
The range of systems available is huge. SI Comm supply & install all of the leading manufacturers systems including; Armstrong, Gypsum, OWA, Burgess, SAS & Ecophon.
Plasterboard Ceilings
Plasterboard ceilings are suitable for most internal drylining applications. The metal grid is fully concealed & the plasterboard lining can be either joint treated or plastered to present a seamless finish ready for decoration.
Plasterboard ceilings offer a durable ceiling lining to meet the most demanding design requirements, offering very high fire resistance & acoustic performances depending on the lining specified.
Access panels allow for ease of access for service installations. Plasterboard ceilings allow for the creation of bulkheads & change in ceiling levels without compromising the monolithic appearance.
SI Comm would recommend using Gypsum drywall products, however we also supply & install a full range of plasterboard ceiling products from Speedline, Lafarge & Knauf.
